Classification-Draft 1

Friends

Friends of mine can be grouped in three ways. The first category is friends from five-year college. Friends in STUT are the second group, and the last category is friends on the Internet.

Friends from five-year college play an important role in my life. I think that's because we have been together for five years and we have many memories. For example, our class had been chosen to host the Union of Department so that we have held so many activities. In order to have perfect performances, we had prepared for a long time. During the preparation time, we had become more and more united like a big family. Those friends are indispensable for me.

The second group, friends in STUT, has a positive influence on me because they are very lively and expansive. We met only three months ago but it seems that we have been good companions for three years. Being with them, I talk more and laugh more than before. They are also very sweet, for example, they went to train station with me at late night because they worried about the safety while I walked there alone.

The last group of my friends are those I met on the Internet. They are essential to me as well. They are usually older than me so that they would give me some suggestions or advice. For instance, we have discussed if I should go abroad or finish college studies. They help me a lot as if they were my older brothers or sisters.

Having these three groups of friends enriches my life and I really appreciate their friendship. I wish I can keep their friendship for good.

Description-Final

My New Friend Mandy
Mandy is my new friend and classmate in Nantai. She is from Taichung County, and she lives with her grandmother, parents, and younger brother. Now she lives in the school dorm.

As Mandy did not major in English before, her present educational goal is to get through studies in Nantai smoothly. She works hard to prove her English ability. For example, she would look up in the dictionary if she encounters a word she doesn't know. She would also go to the grammar class of Andrew Nieh. After her graduation, Mandy would like to find a job that is about business and English such as International Trade Business and Management, or she would prepare for the entrance exam of graduate school of Department of Leisure, Recreation, and Tourism Management.

Sometimes Mandy is forgetful of bringing things so that she has to climb many stairs to get the things. I think she is easygoing because she would not be angry if we make fun of her. In her spare time, Mandy likes to do sports and reading. She is interested in those things that are interesting to her.

I'm impressed with Mandy's hard-working, and I think hard-working would lead her to be successful in either getting a job or preparing the entrance exam of graduate school. It's nice to know that Mandy and I are both from Taichung, and it's good to talk to her.
